“Dr Webster’s award recognises his public service, which he continues in guiding the conduct of the Bougainville referendum to the highest standards of quality, independence and credibility.

The Bougainville Referendum Commission meets this week in Buka to oversee progress in voter registration which has commenced house to house in Bougainville until 17 June.

“The Commission calls on all Bougainvilleans to support their Ward Recorders during the next two weeks as they travel through villages to enrol new voters to produce a high quality and inclusive Referendum Roll according to the rules and regulations.
