Momis supports National Alliance

The ABG President Chief Dr John Momis has thrown his support behind the National Alliance Party by endorsing four candidates in the South, Central and North Bougainville Seats respectively, along with the Regional Seat. This move comes at a very critical juncture which could possibly be Bougainville's final PNG elections if the results of the Referendum for Independence proves otherwise for the autonomous region. Momis has publicly stated that since the inception of the ABG in 2005 Bougainville's national MP's have done little to voice the concerns of the ABG and Bougainville on the floor of the national parliament; as the referendum fast approaches it is imperative that the new Bougainville MP's lobby support to empower the people's decision whether to remain with PNG or secede as a new nation. Pictured is Momis congratulating incumbent South Bougainville MP Timothy Masiu after his nomination last Thursday that was witnessed by more than 4000 people in Buin Town.
