Toksave: National Bipartisan Committee Roadshow

The PNG National Parliamentary Bi-partisan Committee for Bougainville Matters is inviting community leaders and the general public to attend regional consultations next week from the 25th to the 29th of March.

The Committee is chaired by the Governor for Southern Highlands, William Powi and his Deputy chair, Joe Lera, Regional Member for Bougainville.

The committee will travel to four areas in the North, Central and South Bougainville to get views of Bougainvilleans on the preparations for the Referendum. They will present a special report on their consultations to National Parliament after the visit. The committee will be accompanied by members of the Bougainville’s Parliamentary Committee on Referendum.

The consultations will be held in the following locations:

Monday 25 March – Panakei, Siwai

Tuesday 26 March – Wakunai

Thursday 28 March – Tinputz

Friday 29/03/2019 – Lontis, Haku

This will be an important opportunity for you to hear awareness discuss your views and concerns with national and Bougainville leaders.
